Welcome to Pack 305!
Cub Scouting is a family oriented part of the Boy Scouts of America program. It is designed for boys in first through fifth grades. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to help the scout learn, grow, and have fun!
Pack 305 serves the Ellicott City area. Our sponsoring organization is St. John's Episcopal Church in Ellicott City. Our members are primarily from St. Johns Lane Elementary School, Veterans Elementary School, and the St John's Parish Day School, but all boys are welcome to join.
About Our Pack
Boys in the pack are grouped into dens based on their grade. Dens meet several times a month to work on achievements and have fun. Den meetings usually last about an hour. Each den is led by adult volunteers - typically adult family members of the boys in the den. The time and location of the den meetings are determined by the den leadership.
Pack meetings are generally held the third Thursday of each month in the St. John's Episcopal Church auditorium,
located at 9120 Frederick Road in Ellicott City. Pack meetings
are where awards are distributed and where the dens share their experiences with the rest of the pack. The meeting
lasts about an hour, and the scout's entire family is welcome to attend.
There are also other special events held throughout the year. This includes pack hikes, the Pinewood Derby, Rain Gutter Regatta races, museum trips, and campfires.
